Frankie Ballard Shares Prayer for Route 91 Harvest Festival Victims [WATCH]
Following the Route 91 Harvest Festival shooting on Sunday night (Oct. 1), Frankie Ballard is encouraging his fans to turn to God. The singer, "humbled and heartbroken," has shared a prayer on social media.
"We come to you in thanksgiving for this fragile gift of life. In faith, we command your presence and the presence of many angels to the city of Las Vegas," Ballard prays. "May your words be on our lips, may your healing be in our hands, and may your light shine through us into all the dark places."
Ballard's prayer acknowledges that people are "devastated ... lost ... wounded ... crippled and ... scared." He asks God to "give them a peace tonight that only you can provide."

"Give them a hope that washes over their pain," Ballard adds. "Through you, Lord, we trust that love will conquer evil."
More than 50 people were killed and more than 500 people were injured when a gunman opened fire on the Route 91 Harvest Festival, during Jason Aldean's set. On Monday (Oct. 2), Ballard postponed his concert scheduled for that night at Legend's Corner in Nashville, calling it "a day of silence for victims and their families."
“While we will try and move forward, we will never forget this day,” the Route 91 Harvest Festival says in a statement. “We will NOT let hate win over LOVE. We will NOT be defeated by senseless violence. We WILL persevere and honor the souls that were lost.”
