Miranda Lambert is the 2017 ACM Awards Female Vocalist of the Year! Lambert continues to reign in this ACM category, with a whopping now-eight wins in a row.

"Thank you so much guys," Lambert said before adding, "Carrie can sing me under the table; I think we've agreed on that," as Carrie Underwood was also nominated. (Lambert has said before that singing with the powerhouse is "intimidating.") But, with this win, Lambert again shows that she more than holds her own in country music.

"I am just glad to see females kicking a-- these days," Lambert said. "Cheers to all of us dreaming."

Some people thought Lambert's biggest accomplishment in 2016 would be recovering from her painful divorce from Blake Shelton. But she proved us all wrong within the first few bars of her stunning double-disc release, The Weight of These Wings. Of course the album was about her breakup, but it was also about a lot more than that. Striking a perfect balance between heartbreaking songwriting and Lambert’s signature dry wit, the album instantly became the best country album of 2016 (as well as at this year's ACMs!).

Other nominees for Vocalist of the Year at the 2017 ACM Awards included Kelsea BalleriniMaren Morris, Kacey Musgraves and Underwood.
