Drake White's "Makin' Me Look Good Again" music video combines two items of huge importance in his life: nature and his wife Alex. Readers can press play above to see the clip.

White's "Makin' Me Look Good Again" video was directed by sought-after director Shaun Silva and filmed in Nashville. It's only natural that his wife (who also appeared in White's "Livin' the Dream" music video) is featured in the clip; after all, she inspired the song: White wrote "Makin' Me Look Good Again" with Monty Criswell and Shane Minor, inspired by a comment from his father-in-law.

“They live on the river, and we’re always grilling and drinking out behind their house," White shares in a press release, "and [my wife] was sitting there, and [my father-in-law] was about six beers in, and he was like, ‘Man, she makes you look good!’ I thought that was cool.

“It’s a great way to honor that spirit that she has,” White continues. “She’s always caring for other people, and, especially as an artist, I’m constantly needing something. To have somebody who cares so much and sacrifices so much for a song and for music and for the fans … I’m just so thankful.”

"Makin' Me Look Good Again" appears on White's debut record, Spark, which was released on Aug. 19, 2016. In a video teaser, he calls "Makin' Me Look Good Again" his "tribute to soul music" and one of his "favorites" on the album.

"Growing up in Alabama, I was always obsessed with soul music," White explains.

White sings the song with a whole lot of passion, and its accompanying music video visually portrays the way that he feels about his wife: There's sweet cuddling, laughing and amorous interactions.

"My wife is the best thing that’s ever happened to me," White gushes. "The concept of, when she’s standing beside me, I look a lot better than when she’s not standing beside me, is what this song was written off of."

"Makin' Me Look Good" is a fan favorite in White's Spark Tour 2017 setlist. For information on upcoming shows, visit DrakeWhite.com.
