Don’t Take This Back Road Through Allegan County

Recently a section of 51st street in Allegan county was closed due to structural failure of a bridge.

According to a news report by Alex Jokich for WWMT, road crews were working to repair the large culverts located on the Little Bear Lake drain just North of the Van Buren County line that go under the road when they collapsed. This road sees about 100 vehicles every day and will cause frustration for travelers as repairs won't begin until the summer of 2017.
