Moms like Carrie Underwood know that when your child hits a milestone, it’s hard not to tell everyone who will listen. Underwood took the opportunity at the first stop on her Storyteller tour in Jacksonville, Fla., on Jan. 30 to share with her audience that her son Isaiah had tried walking for the first time in their city.

"She was just leading to her next song and talking about what a big year it has been and how she thought that touring and making albums would be the best thing in her life, but she was wrong, because she had a baby," a fan tells ET.

“He means the world to me,” Underwood gushes in the clip above, shot by a concert-goer. “He took his first steps today in Jacksonville."

The crowd erupted in cheers to celebrate the accomplishment — a perfectly memorable way to start her tour.

Underwood keeps fans updated on her life as a mom via social media often, whether it’s photos of her new morning routine or keeping fit by multitasking. Her international tour — on which she is joined by Easton Corbin and the Swon Brothers for the North American dates — is set to run through the end of May. She has even brought along her shiny new mobile gym, which she shared with fans before the tour kicked off.

For the first time since 2013, Underwood will be performing at the Grammy Awards on Feb. 15 alongside breakout artist Sam Hunt. She’s nominated for Best Country Solo Performance for her tune "Little Toy Guns," which if she wins would be her second-consecutive win and third overall in this category.
