This delicious and education family event is coming to Van Buren County Saturday.

Saturday, August 25th, Hood Farms Family Dairy will serve breakfast and offer self-guided tours according to this press release,

The goal is to introduce the non-farm public to the life and business of farming, and give them an opportunity to learn where their food comes from before it arrives on grocery shelves. This is a free, fun-filled educational event for the family. We will supply breakfast to an estimated crowd of 3,000 people and will educate consumers about the many hats farmers wear, from stewards of the land to animal caregivers and food safety specialists. The third generation dairy farm is looking forward to opening the doors of their operation to the public.

Breakfast On The Farm is closing the farm-to-table gap according to their facebook page,

Since 2009, more than 85,000 children and adults have attended Breakfast on the Farm events throughout Michigan to learn about where food comes from. At these events, attendees had a chance to learn how cows are milked, pet a calf, take wagon rides, see tractors and eat ice cream. Questions about farming and food production are encouraged.
