The Harvest Moon is upon us, Kalamazooligans!  With severe weather threatening to obscure our view, radar suggests the best night to glimpse it is tonight or Sunday.

So why do we call it a Harvest Moon?  According to The Old Farmer's Almanac, a Harvest Moon is:

...the full Moon nearest the start of fall or the autumnal equinox... The abundance of bright moonlight early in the evening was a traditional aide to harvest crews, hence the “Harvest” Moon.

I feel like I should have the "The More You Know" rainbow over my head right now.
