The Fourth of July is the pinnacle of summer! While your planning your barbecue cookouts, back yard fires and pool parties, be sure to check out the best places to catch Fourth of July fireworks in 2015! Here are a few of our favorites (in no particular order):

Keep in mind that the firework display you may want to catch could be taking place the day before or after July 4, just check the schedules and give yourself some time to get on the road. There will be a lot of travelers out next weekend!

When: July 3 at 10:30 p.m.
Where: W.K. Kellogg Airport on Helmer Road
Why?: Every year Battle Creek holds a great big hot air balloon festival and air show that gets the "oos and ahs" from the whole family. The Fireworks they hold on the military base are one of the best in town and close to home! With multiple fields and sites to choose from to view the fireworks, the whole family can attend the big bang! Plus, this is a 15 minute long presentation - that means it is the third longest IN MICHIGAN!

2. Light Up The Lake Fireworks - South Haven

When: July 3 at dark
Where: South Haven Beach Front
Why: What better way to open the day than going out to the beach to have fun in the sand and ending it with a great firework show over Lake Michigan! Not only is South Haven a marvelous beach to have so close to home, the downtown area has great places to eat and check out before you grab your beach chairs and stake your territory for the light show. No seat is a bad seat on South Haven Beach!

When: July 3 at dusk
Where: On The Riverfront
Why: There is something about the charm of a historical downtown region during the Fourth of July weekend. The Allegan firework display draws visitors from surrounding towns to see this marvelous display and engage in the nostalgia - you should check it out!

When: July 4 at dusk
Where: Kalamazoo Speedway - 7656 Ravine Rd
Cost: Adults $15; Youth $10; Kids under 10 $5
Why:
 This is one of the only fireworks displays no the list that comes with a cost. But it is worth it! Get your ticket for the biggest firework display in Kalamazoo and you can also spend the day watching the FWD Enduro Race #2 - Stars & Stripes 200 Endure! How can you argue with that?

When: July 4 all day!
Where: John Collins Park on Reed Lake - 750 Lakeside Dr
Why: Have you visited East Grand Rapids? Its a charming area that has a brewery, coffee shop, restaurant or antique market to entice any visitor! Plus, on the 4th they hold no punches and have events taking place city wide all day long. Activities include a parade, games, musical entertainment and epic fireworks at nightfall!
