Battle Creek Man Caught Breaking Into Apartment

A Battle Creek man is in jail after he was caught in the middle of a break-in attempt.

Battle Creek Police Officers responded to the 100 block of West St., around 10:20pm Tuesday, on reports of a home invasion.  When police arrived they saw the suspect attempting to break into an apartment.

The suspect fled on foot, but was taken into custody after a short chase.

The 54-year-old Battle Creek man was lodged at the Calhoun County Jail, on charges of attempted home invasion and resisting arrest.
