One of my favorite shows as a kid was "Doogie Howser, MD"; but wanting to be a doctor and pretending to be a doctor for real are two different things.

Fast forward 27 years to a Florida teen who not only pretended to be a doctor, he took it to the next level. He was arrested after examining a patient and had previously been detained when he was found in an exam room where a Gynecologist was preforming an exam.

This sounds more like a stunt "Vinnie" would pull, trying to sneak a peek at one of Dr. Howser's patients and be yelled at and told to leave to the delight of the viewing audience. I don't, however, think any of "his" patience will be laughing anytime soon. Below, you will see a clip from Doogie Howser that this story made me think of. While Doogie could play doctor with more then Wanda, this guy will probably be playing the wrong kind of doctor for the next few years.

I spoke with Allisa Chamberlin from the Media relations office at Bronson Hospital. She relayed to me that everyone who works at the hospital is required to where a name tag that will have a photo of them, their name and what department they work in at all time while they are working. If you ever have any question as to the authenticity of the ID, you are more then welcome to ask for another person, whether its a nurse, doctor or even security officer to confirm they are a hospital employee.

While this case in Florida hits close to home, this isn't the first time someone has pulled a stunt like this. A 17 year old in Australia has also been arrested for a similar act where he also administered medication to several patience. Being that he's minor, I want to make a "shrimp on the Barbie" comment but I like my job
