You know how kids sometimes say, "If it wasn't for me..."?

Well, if it weren't for the incredibly brave 4-year-old Calise Manning of Kalamazoo, her pregnant mother and baby brother T.J. might not be here.

Last Wednesday, while her fiancee was at work, nine-month pregnant Centerria Manning of Kalamazoo suffered a seizure. As an epileptic, Centerria began teaching her daughter how to call 911 since Calise was 2 years old.  (You know, just in case.)

The practice paid off and Calise gave the dispatcher all the needed information including her name and the address.

"She's shaking, and she's having a baby," Calise told the 911 operator.

Paramedics arrived in time and were able to treat Centerria. Baby T.J. was born two days later at Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo, and thanks to his big sister everyone is doing just fine!
