The Downtown Kalamazoo Holiday Parade was Saturday. And with the temperature hovering around 30 degrees, it was one of the coldest in memory. In spite of the extreme cold temperatures, (today's high was 15 degrees below normal)  the parade route was sunny and lined with children, bundled up and ready to enjoy the annual appearance of Santa and Mrs. Claus, holiday floats, local marching bands, Buster Bronco and our friend, the Grinch. With it being Veterans' Day, there were several military tribute themes, including one veterans group, Talons Out, which focuses on World War II and Korean War veterans.
