Battling cancer is never easy, especially when you're a child. Whats harder is a parent going on after the battle is lost.  At the Beginning of July I learned of Sami Banister, a bright light in the hearts of all at the Olde World Village in Augusta. She was made a princess at the Blackrock festival with parades and a throne and all the fanfare that goes with it.

I'm saddened to say, Sami lost her battle early in the morning on Sunday July 17th. Sami suffered from a rare  and deadly form of childhood brain cancer: a Grade 3 Anaplastic Astrocytoma!  She was to begin a new form of treatment at the beginning of July but she took a turn for the worse and the decision was made to take her home where she would be comfortable surrounded by friends and family.

Now, Sami is at peace and free of pain. However, the pain and financial debt remains for her family. Only time can ease the pain and allow the family to heal but they are still in need of some financial relief.  The Go Fund Me in Sami's name is still active and anything that could be spared to help this family would be appreciated.
