Michigan State Will Wear White Helmets When WMU Comes to East Lansing
The Spartans will be wearing white helmets. (This might actually help Spartan quarterbacks. About 20 years ago, the Buffalo Bills changed helmet colors because most of their main rivals had the same colored helmets they did.)
The Detroit News cites website spartanjerseys.com, noting the Spartans haven't worn white helmets since 1954. While you're there, check out the winged helmet from the late 1940's.
The WMU/MSU game is Sept. 9th at 3:30 pm, and will be on Big Ten Network.
