This past weekend we lost an iconic actor and Michigan native Verne Troyer, who was best known for his role as "Mini Me" in the Austin Powers films. But a lesser known role he played was in a short-lived syndicated television show that was aired in 2000. The show was called "Jack Of All Trades," starring WMU Alumni Bruce Campbell. Campbell is best known for his role as "Ash" from The Evil Dead film series, as well as Ash Vs Evil Dead, which was recently dropped by the Starz TV channel.

Troyer makes an appearance in 4 of the shows' 22 episodes playing the role of Napolean Bonaparte. The show is set at the turn of the 19th century on the fictional French-controlled island of Pulau-Pulau in the East Indies. Jack Stiles (Campbell) is an American secret agent sent there by President Jefferson. While there, he meets his British contact and love interest, English spy Emilia Rothschild. Together, the two work to stop Napolean and various other threats to the United States.

Campbell is my favorite actor of all time so it was cool to discover these two Michigan actors worked together. You can watch an episode of Jack Of All Trades featuring them both below:
