New Western Michigan University Football Head Coach Tim Lester garners praise for his letter thanking members of the Bronco Marching Band for their support on game day.

Tim Lester quaterbacked the Western Michigan University Bronco football team from 1996-1999 and knows what it takes to win: It takes a Bronco nation.

Before WMU's first home game of the 2017 season at Waldo Stadium, Coach Lester sent a letter to every single member of the Bronco Marching Band thanking them for their support and recognizing their efforts in the stands to rally the team on the field. The letter reads,

I hope that your semester is off to an awesome start! As we prepare for our 1st home game vs. Idaho, I wanted to make sure to drop you a quick note if thank you for all you do for Bronco Nation.
As a WMU Alumni, nothing gets me going on gameday more than hearing our band and seeing our cheer and dance teams perform in front of a packed Waldo Stadium.
You are the heart and soul of gameday at Western and we are lucky to have you behind us. Always remember… we will reign!

Let's ride,
Tim Lester.

Facebook comments poured in from band members and alumni calling Coach Lester "a class act."
