The Worst Bathroom in the World

Do you remember the movie Trainspotting?

I found the worst toilet in Michigan on a recent trip to Lansing to see a show.

A friend of mine had seen Dave Hause and was a fan. Since I've never known Chad to be wrong on good music, I decided to make the trip to the show at Mac's Bar.

I hadn't been to Mac's Bar in 25 years. It was a favorite during my days at Michigan State University. Dollar pitcher nights and quarter drafts made Mac's THE place to be for poor college students.

There were maybe 4 stools at the bar and 6 or 7 chairs total for the 5 tables. There was also a bench that ran the perimeter of the room. Every time "Build Me Up, Buttercup" came on the jukebox we stood on the bench arm-in-arm and sang at the top of our lungs spilling cheap beer everywhere. Good times.

After 25 years away, the place still looked the same. The. Exact. Same.

What I had forgotten (maybe it was the beer?) were the deplorable bathroom conditions.
