In the last 20 years, the Detroit Red Wings have had some legendary teams.   One of those teams, the 2002 cup champions were voted as one of the best in an NHL poll.

The Kalamazoo Wings took Toledo to 7 games in their first round playoff series and unfortunately lost to the Walleye.  The K-Wings look towards the next season as the new schedule for 2017-2018 has been released.

Tonight The Kalamazoo Wings try to get back into their playoff series against the Toledo Walleye as they host Game 3.  They are down 2-0 and will be without their captain the rest of the way.

In sports to have your name and number retired by a team is a major honor.  I wonder how  it feels when they raise your banner with it upside down.  That happened recently in Ft. Wayne.

One of the highlights of the recent Centennial Classic between the Red Wings and the Maple Leafs was the announcement of 33 of 100 Greatest Players in The NHL.  The Detroit Red Wings were well represented on this list.
