Sara Spicer, ‘Jump’ Music Video [Exclusive Premiere]
Country newcomer Sara Spicer is debuting the music video for her song "Jump" exclusively for readers of The Boot. Press play above to watch the inspiring clip.
"Jump" is an upbeat, pop-country tune is all about taking the plunge, and its accompanying video kicks off with a montage of videos of Spicer and her friends and fans telling their own stories of doing just that, metaphorically speaking. Those big leaps include everything from getting married and starting a family business to navigating the World Mountain Running Championships and, in Spicer's case, moving to Nashville to pursue a career in the music industry. She even shows off a little bit of her own nervousness as she prepares to take the stage at the popular Nashville event Whiskey Jam.
"My jump started in Delaware County, which is in Pennsylvania. I decided to make the big move, decided I gotta go to Nashville," Spicer says in the "Jump" music video. "I always think that I would rather give it my all and, you know, technically fail, I guess you could say, [instead of] sitting back when I'm older and thinking, 'Wow, what if I'd tried that?'"
Earlier this year, Spicer released "Jump" on her five-song EP, titled New Girl. The artist says the song is important to her "because I believe that you have to just go for your dreams -- and always give your best -- never settling for anything less than just that."
Spicer found her musical calling young -- specifically, at the age of four, when she performed "Over the Rainbow." She comes from a musical family, so she began joining her parents onstage and has opened for, among others, Tanya Tucker. Readers can keep up with her via her website, SaraSpicer.com.
