Sam Hunt's "Downtown's Dead" lyric video is open to interpretation.

Lyric videos are traditionally created to showcase the lyrics of a song, and don't always involve the artists themselves. But a bearded Hunt is featured in the "Downtown's Dead" clip. We meet him as he's getting off of his retro motorcycle, walking it along the side of a street as the video opens. As cars go by seemingly in slow motion, Hunt continues on his trek to somewhere, occasionally looking back onto the road behind him. Does this mean anything? Is this a pre-cursor to the storyline of the actual video? Will one of those cars ever stop and help a hot and sweaty country superstar out?

That's not clear. What we can be sure of is "Downtown’s Dead" is poised to be a hot song of summer 2018. Upon its release, the song quickly became the most-added at country radio, shooting to the Top 20 with a vengeance. It is sure to keep rising as Hunt heads out on tour alongside Luke Bryan on Bryan's What Makes You Country Tour – XL Stadium Sized Tour, which will be stopping at big cities across the country, including New York City, Cincinnati, Tampa, Pittsburgh, Boston, Minneapolis, Los Angeles, Denver, St. Louis, Chicago, Vancouver and Detroit.

Hunt is headlining the 2018 Taste of Country Music Festival on Sunday (June 10).
