The Kansas City Royals pulled out a walk-off win over the Detroit Tigers Wednesday evening, beating them 4-3.

Detroit was first to score in game three of a four game series. Miguel Cabrera grounded out to second, in the 1st inning, bringing Ian Kinsler in to score. The Royals put a mark on the board in the 3rd when Brandon Moss homered off Justin Verlander, and it was 1-1.

In the 7th inning, Kansas City inched ahead of the Tigers when Mike Moustakas singled off Verlander, bringing Salvador Perez home and it was 2-1.

In the 9th inning, the Tigers' Mikie Mahtook homered off Kelvin Herrera, bringing Andrew Romine across the plate and the Tigers led 3-2.

But in the bottom of the 9th, closer Justin Wilson issued a 1-out walk to Alcides Escobar on four pitches. Brandon Moss doubled and went to third as Escobar scored the tying run.  Moss trotted home on Alex Gordon’s sacrifice fly.

The two teams face each other, in the final game of the series, Thursday evening. Coverage begins at 7:50 PM on 95.3 WBCK.
