Become a Volunteer at Kalamazoo Ribfest 2018

Kalamazoo Ribfest presented by Firekeepers Hotel Casino is right around the corner bringing, food, fun, and entertainment to Downtown Kalamazoo, and the organizers of this event are looking for volunteers who would like to help make the magic happen. If you are interested in volunteering, sign up here and can pick out a time slot for the event to help.

Organizers are working on more perks but so far each volunteer will receive free entry into the event before or after their shift, free water and soda in the volunteer tent, and a Ribfest 2018 T-shirt.

RIBFEST VOLUNTEER DATES AND TIMES

Admission Gate: Helping at our two entrances (main entrance on Water St. at the bridge and the VIP/Pre-purchased tickets entrance off of Eleanor St.) with managing ticket purchases and scanning of tickets upon entry
o   11 – 230pm
o   2 – 530pm
o   5 – 830pm
o   8  -1230am (11:30 pm for Thursday)

Ticket Booth: Helping in the ticket booths to sell the tickets used to purchase beverages
o   1030 am – 130 pm
o   1 -4 pm
o   330 – 7pm
o   630 – 10pm
o   930 – 1230am (11:30 pm for Thursday)

Beverage Tent: Helping to collect tickets and serve beverages at any of our beverage locations (main dome, craft beer tent, pop station, VIP tent)
o   1030 am – 2pm
o   130 – 5pm
o   430 – 830pm
o   8 – 1230 am (11:30 for Thursday)

Rib Competition Volunteers: Assisting with the preparation and execution of the Best Ribs in Kalamazoo Competition Thursday night and the Sponsors Choice on Friday night, happening inside the VIP tent
o   Sponsors Choice on Friday: 530 – 7pm
o   Best Ribs on Thursday: 4:30 – 7pm

Recycling Assistant: Working with Schupan Recycling to help attendees put their trash and recycling in the correct bins
o   1030 am – 2pm
o   130 – 5pm
o   430 – 830pm
o   8 – 1230 am (11:30 for Thursday)
