Michigan Teen Shot At For Asking For Directions To His School

School Bus Stopped On Country Road

Rochester Hills is the city I grew up in and as far back as I can remember it has always been pretty progressive thinking. It’s very diverse in population and I’d never tag it as a place where a hate crime takes place, but it seems that’s what happened this week to 14 year-old Rochester High School student Brennan Walker according to WDIV 4 Detroit.

After missing the bus Thursday morning, Brennan began walking to school when he lost his way while trying to take a shortcut. He knocked on one families’ home and got directions to the school, but again got turned around. He approached a second house to get better directions and according to him:

I knocked on the door, stepped back, knocked, stepped back, and then a lady came downstairs yelling at me. She asked me, ‘Why are you trying to break into my house?’ and I told her I was just looking for directions to Rochester High.

It was at this point a man came down the stairs armed with a gun which is when Brennan began to run:

I turned back and I saw him aiming at me. I was running away…I was trying to run away faster and I heard a gunshot.

Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard expressed his disgust towards the incident:

That’s just completely unacceptable on every level. I don’t know how you would justify it, but it certainly doesn’t pass the muster.

Authorities are currently reviewing the  home security cameras while they investigate the shooting. The alleged shooter is currently in custody and is expected to face charges.

what this michigan man got busted for is pretty sick
