"From Where I Began" is the title of Dylan Jakobsen's debut album and you can catch this rising star at the beginning of his career.

Dylan Jakobsen has logged 25,000 miles on the road...since June 1st! See him at Kalamazoo Ribfest at 7 p.m. on Thursday, August 4.

He has spent the Summer touring the country playing festivals, fairs and stages anywhere he can opening for the likes of Blake Shelton, Eric Church, Thomas Rhett, Dierks Bentley and many more.

It's one of those things- you grow up you don't think you're going to be able to do all these crazy things but you put your mind to it, you keep pushing and all of a sudden...it's crazy to see how far you've come.

Making music is something Dylan has always wanted to do but being from Seattle, he wasn't always focused on Country music.

...all of a sudden Country music hit me at about 18, 19 years old and I fell in love with it. I love the songwriting aspect, how it connects people out there...the stories it tells.

I could transcribe more of the interview, but the excitement and wonder in Dylan's voice doesn't come through- you've got to hear it. Click "play" on the video above and don't miss Dylan Jakobsen on Kalamazoo Country Night at Kalamazoo Ribfest, Thursday, August 4.
