Luke Bryan didn't know it when he released it, but his now-hit song "Most People Are Good" is spiritual. After learning he's earned a CMA Awards nomination for Entertainer of the Year again, the superstar sat down with Good Morning America to talk about how the song has sprouted new wings.

"What I never truly foresaw about performing 'Most People Are Good' is how spiritual it feels in my concert," Bryan says of the song, featured on his What Makes You Country album. "I see people hugging each other. I feel a lot of love."

The Most Unforgettable Luke Bryan Moments Ever

During the same interview, which aired on Wednesday (Aug. 29), Bryan also expressed about how his song "Pick It Up" — written with his three boys in mind — holds a special place in his heart.

"My boys will watch their dad and watch his actions, and pick the good things up," he says. "When I'm in that truck and the boys are in the back, they always wanna hear 'Pick It Up.’ They're understanding that old dad wrote a song to them, they like that."

The interview was recorded at the country music superstar’s new six-floor entertainment facility, Luke's 32 Bridge Food + Drink, in downtown Nashville. Bryan showed off some of the memorabilia that line the walls of the new restaurant, including a T-shirt from his old college band, Neyami. "Never name a band an unpronounceable name," he joked, laughing as he recalled his time at Georgia Southern.

Those days are long behind him now. Next up for Bryan is a tour stop Sept. 1 at the iconic Wrigley Field in Chicago.
