Learn What Goes On ‘In the Dark’ at Kalamazoo Valley Museum
Halloween is the perfect time to see this exhibit.
Bats are just one of nature's nocturnal creatures. Find out how these and other denizens of darkness have adapted to light-less living environs like caves, deep seas, the forest at night and under the ground at Kalamazoo Valley Museum's 'In the Dark' exhibit.
"Visitors explore some of these mysteries of the dark using electronic, mechanical, and computer interactives, walk-through or walk-around dioramas, fiberglass models, and graphic panels. Learn about unique creatures that dwell in darkness and use echolocation and other forms of animal communication. Investigate environments below ground, in a cave, and even in the deep sea, and see how humans have creatively responded to darkness," according to the museum's website.
The Kalamazoo Valley Museum is located at 230 N. Rose Street, Kalamazoo. Hours are 9 a.m.- 5 p.m. Monday- Saturday, 1-5 Sundays and Holidays. Admission is free.
The 'In the Dark' exhibit is open now through January 17, 2016. If you ask me, this is the perfect week to explore what happens in the dark.
