Not your typical 5k, the Kalamazoo Mud Run snakes through 44 wooded acres surrounding Kalamazoo Community Church.

Along the way, you'll deal with 15-20 obstacles designed to slow you down, speed up your adrenaline and ensure that you are filthy by the time you're finished!

You really don't have to be a runner to have fun at this event! You can even walk between the challenges if you'd like. Put together a team and make sure everyone gets some!

The mission is to "get dirty for clean water" and the money has been used to drill wells for fresh water in Uganda. That work continues to make a difference abroad and some funds stay in Kalamazoo and help Loaves & Fishes and the outreach ministry of Kalamazoo Community Church.

You don't need to know all that to have some fun on Saturday...all you need to know is to leave your good clothes at home!

Take a look at some highlights from the 2012 Kalamazoo Mud Run.
