Some other memories that were shared:

Candy cane lane. The big huge candy canes. I proposed to my wife under candy cane lane, years later when the city replaced them, the old ones went up for sale. Guess who got his own candy cane for Christmas. Thanks to my thoughtful wife. I still have it today. - Phil Miskowski

Jake Robyn in his Salvation Army Uniform, ringing his bell in the entrance way to Gilmore's on the Mall. - Michael Knowlton

"Men's Night" on the Mall. Men and boys shopping for the female's in their lives. Jacobson's would always have a Detroit Lion in store signing autographs. I remember in particular meeting QB Milt Plum circa 62/63. - Bob Stroud

Every Christmas since 1986 my wife and I have strolled Bronson Park ending by continuing down Candy Cane. Once at the end we indulge in a Christmas embrace and Christmas kiss. - Rick Emmons
