With oppressive heat hitting Southwest Michigan with heat indexes approaching 106 degrees, the city of Kalamazoo has opened up hydrants around the city to give residents some relief from the heat.

Here are the locations in Kalamazoo set to be open from 1PM to dusk daily:

  • Interfaith Building
  • Burrell and Lawrence
  • Krom and Clay
  • Washington and March
  • Charlotte and Sherwood
  • Clarence and Jackson
  • Norway and Princeton
  • Fairbanks and Center
  • Church and Norway
  • Elizabeth between Cobb and Westnedge

This is dangerous heat, and you can suffer from heat stroke or heat exhaustion.
