From the opening question of "Why Don't We Just Dance?" to the "gotta run" lyric of "Time Is Love," Josh Turner put on a tight 75-minute chock-full-of-hits show at Firekeeper's Casino Hotel on Feb. 14. (See the complete setlist below.)

The Roughstock Rambler Tour had just resumed after a holiday break, but the band was prepared and in great form on all of Josh's familiar songs — and it was very adept at the new material as well.

Josh himself was amiable, with his trademark bass voice in full effect, eliciting screams from the women in the Valentine's Day crowd on more than one occasion.

Opening with the invitation to "...Dance," the band roared through "Firecracker" before Josh took a stool to sing "I Wouldn't Be A Man." Strumming his acoustic guitar most of the night, he played mandolin on "Backwoods Boy" and sometimes wandered the stage with the wireless microphone.

After performing "Lay Low," his latest single that we are playing on Kalamazoo's Country 102.5, Josh delighted us with 4 other songs from the new record and revealed that it will be called "Deep South" and available later this year.  Josh asked the crowd to use their "cereal money" and be sure to buy a copy when it comes out.

More of his hits closed out the show but you knew the band wasn't packing up the guitars until he played "Your Man," making it a memorable, romantic Valentine's Day with Josh Turner at Firekeeper's Casino Hotel.
