'Jersey Boys' is the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons: Frankie Valli, Bob Gaudio, Tommy DeVito and Nick Massi.  This is the true story of how a group of blue-collar boys from the wrong side of the tracks became one of the biggest American pop music sensations of all time.  They wrote their own songs, invented their own sound and sold 175 million records worldwide - all before they were thirty. The show features all their hits including “Sherry,” “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” “Oh What A Night,” “Walk Like A Man,” “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You” and “Working My Way Back To You.”

That's what the press release tells you.  As a music fan, I can tell you the show is extraordinary!

I cut my teeth in radio playing "Oldies": The Beatles, The Beach Boys, Motown and The Four Seasons, so I know and love this music. The cast, the musicians and the talented director of 'Jersey Boys' delivered the hits!

Of course I expected to love the songs but I was quickly caught up in the story of these 4 guys from Jersey. I'm almost ashamed to say there is a whole lot I didn't know! There were laughs and lots of swear words but also drama and tension that were well-played by this cast. Watch for Matthew Dailey, who plays Tommy DeVito- he is a Western Michigan University alum.

So, walk like a man (or woman) and get your tickets to see 'Jersey Boys' at Miller Auditorium; you can't take your eyes off the stage!

Big girls don’t cry but Sherry, Ronnie and Marianne  will if you don’t take them to see the show. You will adore this production.

Work your way back to campus and see the play!

Let’s hang on until Sunday and then the tour moves on.

Don’t worry ‘bout me...I’ve seen it.

The songs will get under your skin and you’ll be singing them on the way home.
