You know those ugly Christmas sweaters everyone loves to wear to be funny and non-fashionable? Well, they can actually come in handy this weekend. Saturday you have the chance to be a part of a Guinness World Record for Largest Gathering Of People Wearing Holiday Sweaters.

Uglychristmassweater.com is organizing the event which will take place at Beacon park located at 1903 Grand River Ave. in Detroit (Located on the corner of Cass and Grand River.  The event takes place from 7 P.M. until Midnight, while the official sweater count begins at 6:30 P.M.

The best part is you can actually volunteer to help do the sweater count while also taking part in the gathering. Anyone interested in helping out will be given a free ugly sweater for their help. For information on how you can help, interested volunteers are encouraged to email Specs Howard alumni Jason Brown of PublicCity PR at JBrown@PublicCityPR.net and let him know if you're a fellow graduate.

For more information on the event, you can head over to the main website page on Facebook. If you're taking part, good luck... from one Guinness Record holder to another (shameless plug).
