Get Your Spook On With A Tour Of Central Cemetery In Portage

For the first time in years, Portage Parks and Recreation is offering tours from Celery Flats Park. This tour, on October 8th, will take you through Historic Central Cemetery and reveal some of the historic figures buried there.

...All Hallows in the Park, from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 8, the final edition of the new Celery Flats Historical Tours at 7335 Garden Lane.

This Parks and Recreation event will feature carriage rides between the cemetery and Celery Flats. Other attractions will include a presentation on historical grave markings, headstone rubbings, storytelling, pumpkin bowling and demonstrations such as basket weaving, a working blacksmith shop, and candle making.
