The Felt Mansion, rumored to be haunted, was abandoned and on the verge of being demolished after years of neglect. See it now, restored back to its former glory.

Last year I wrote a story about the Felt Mansion near Holland, You can read that story here. One day I decided to make it a road trip for another urban exploration in Michigan and see the house for myself. Secluded and peaceful are the first words that come to mind when I arrived. Surrounded by the Saugatuck dunes and miles of walking trails, it's easy to forget the creepy stories of the Melonheads that are rumored to live in the woods surrounding the mansion. The grounds consist of three main buildings. The barn, the chapel and of course, the mansion. I was fortunate enough to meet Tammy who works at the estate and was the only employee on site that day. Tammy gave me access to almost every part of the house I could want to get into. While I didn't see any ghosts or have any strange feelings, I did get plenty of photos around the outside of the house and also some awesome video on the inside.

Here is a gallery of the outside photos.

Now for the best part, the video. Starting with the drive and some spectacular footage from high above and heading into the mansion for a walk through from the ground up.
