Dierks Bentley Visits With Route 91 Harvest Festival First Responders

Dierks Bentley flew to Las Vegas, Nev., on Monday (Oct. 9), to visit with some of the first responders who were at the Route 91 Harvest Festival shooting on Oct. 1 and assisted when the victims arrived at nearby hospitals. On Instagram, the country star shared some photos of his visit.

Pictures on Bentley’s Instagram account show the singer performing for and meeting with hospital staff and emergency personnel at Las Vegas’ University Medical Center. Readers can flip through them above and below.

“Thank you @UMCSN for letting me stop by and hang with y’all for a little bit,” Bentley writes on Instagram. “Thank you for sharing your stories and your time. I needed that.”

Previously, Bentley stopped by a Red Cross blood drive to donate blood and help the victims of the Route 91 Harvest Festival shooting. The singer admits that the tragedy has shaken him.

“I’m having a hard time even physically moving right now. I had to take Twitter off my phone because I’ve just been looking at it for two days straight,” he told the Hollywood Reporter shortly after the shooting. “It’s just the heaviest, darkest thing I can remember since 9/11.”

There are many, including Bentley, trying to make a difference in the wake of the Route 91 Harvest Festival shooting. Vigils for the victims took place in Nashville and Las Vegas, and in addition to blood drives like the one Bentley participated in, a GoFundMe account has been established to help monetarily. Maren Morris, meanwhile, has shared an unreleased song, “Dear Hate,” the proceeds of which will go to help victims.
