Bobby Guy ate one of Dale's banana and mayo sandwiches raising money for Blessings in a Backpack.

We get you race ready for NASCAR weekends and Go Green with Gina every Friday at 5:30 during the racing season.

Last time she was in, Gina brought the supplies for Dale Earnhardt Jr's favorite sandwich: banana and mayo, and we tried it. (By "we" I mean "I" tried it- watch the video above.)

Since then over $145,000 has been raised for "Blessings in a Backpack, an organization that provides food for elementary school children across America who might otherwise go hungry," according to NASCAR.com.

The sandwiches were sold during last weekend's race at Bristol and "The response from the fans, as far as donations, has been amazing," says Dale Jr. "And also, you have things like this where the tracks are doing their own thing and it's helping people. So it's been an amazing thing, and I'm super glad we have the resources at JR Motorsports to make these things happen."
