Can Joshua Davis Win It All on The Voice?

The live final performances are tonight at 8 p.m. on NBC's The Voice.

Three months ago in February, the journey began for Traverse City Michigan's Joshua Davis when he was chosen for Team Blake on The Voice.

This chapter of Josh's Hollywood story comes to a close when the winner is chosen on May 19.

Kalamazoo's Country had the chance to speak with Josh, who talked about the incredible friendships he has forged during the show.

"The environment here is incredibly supportive," he said in an exclusive interview with Kalamazoo's Country in April. "The whole culture here is about family, it's about supporting each other and being as collaborative as possible even though it's a competition."

To be declared The Voice winner, Joshua will have to beat Sawyer Fredricks, with whom he has become especially close, and Koryn Hawthorne and former Steel Magnolia singer Meghan Linsey.

What may help him is doing something he told us he was not going to do on the show: sing an original song. When we spoke with him, he didn't think he would get that opportunity. "No," he said. "The show is not called 'The Songwriter,' it's called 'The Voice'."

Something has definitely changed since then, because as you know if you've seen the commercials, we will get to hear a Joshua Davis song tonight!
