It was a great Battle Creek Cereal Festival for the first two hours, until rain moved in making things very soggy.   But spirits were high, and even though the Cereal Festival Parade was washed out, thousands of people had fun munching on free cereal, listening to the bands and checking out all the special characters and events.

Cassi Robinson, Marketing, Event & Festival Coordinator, made the announcement cancelling the remainder of the festival and the parade, about 10:40am.

This year the festival was moved back downtown, to take advantage of the new Festival Market Square.  The Farmer's Market was going on at the festival, and the bands were playing under the roof.
