U.S. Air Force Col. Robert Anderson's remains were Buried with Full honors on October 6th. Exactly 45 years after his plane crashed in North Vietnam.

The U.S. Air Force Honor Guard, The U.S. Air Force Band, and The 3d U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard) Caisson Platoon participated...

It wasn't until October of 1998 that his remains were identified.

Col. Anderson is not the first Michigan native at Arlington. Most notably, Specialist Byron Fouty of Waterford, Michigan was buried in the same casket as Staff Sgt. Alex Jimenez of Lawrence, Massachusetts.

Because some of their remains could not be identified as belonging to one or the other, the Army buried them together Tuesday with full military honors in a grave that will be marked by one stone.
