Battle Creek's Field of Flight Air Show & Balloon Festival is a treat for the entire city as hot air balloons fill the skies.

The largest airshow in the United States and ranked #3 in USA Today's Top Air Shows in the Nation, the Battle Creek Field of Flight Air Show and Balloon Festival is an annual tradition, a rite of Summer that Battle Creek looks forward to every year.

The wild blue yonder over the Cereal City looks like a bowl of Fruity Pebbles, Froot Loops or Trix as hot air balloons of 2 shapes and sizes take to the air for competition. (You know what "2 shapes" means if you've seen the Sugar Bear balloon.)

Some days the pilots launch from the airport and fly out to complete their tasks, other days they fly in. As these fragile airships are subject to the whims of Mother Nature, some days they don't fly at all. When they are up, the dozens of balloons are a thrill to see.
